The Sandwich Society

FANTASTIC SANDWICHES !

These guys don’t just make sandwiches they create edible works of art. My wife and I stopped by the Mess Hall in Tustin to buy our lunch at The Sandwich Society. A little bit out of our way considering we live in Solana Beach but we spent the morning in San Clemente so it was just another 30 minutes up the 5 to get here. We have tried their classic sandwiches before at their Santa Ana eatery and they were sensational so hence our visit to this recently opened location.

The Mess Hall was very packed out when we walked in around 12.45pm but also very cool with the air con cranked up. A real friendly guy named Rod looked after us at the service counter of The Sandwich Society when we placed our lunch order. My wife wanted the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich but on a Dutch Crunch Roll. I knew exactly what I wanted . . The Cubano which comes on a Dutch Crunch Roll and one of those tasty looking Blood Orange Lemonades.

We paid and Rod handed my wife a ready buzzer so we wandered off to find a table to sit at. Now remember these guys don’t just make sandwiches but actually create edible works of art so things can take a few minutes. Let me tell you that The Cubano fully loaded with huge slices of luscious Pork, layers of succulent fresh Ham, Swiss Cheese, zesty Pickles, tasty Tomato, silky Mayo, zingy Mustard on a soft pillowy fresh baked Dutch Crunch Roll just could be the greatest sandwich ever made.

And it was all mine to savor ! Oh and my bottle of Blood Orange Lemonade with a hint of Ginger was going down a treat . . . whatta great drink ! My wife loved here Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich and was so happy she switched it out to being made on a Dutch Crunch Roll. We got to meet the co-owner Mi of the sister & brother ( Ethan ) team that created this great sandwich business. So if you are looking for top quality sandwiches with friendly service look no further than here !
