My wife and I were staying in Redondo Beach for the weekend recently with our brother-in-law and his wife. The guys decided to take us out for dinner to Bottega Romana…their favorite local restaurant. We found a street parking spot within view of the ocean and walked a short distance to the restaurant. Valerio and Giulia who are the co-owners greeted us all very warmly when we arrived around 5pm on a beautiful Sunday evening.
We were shown to a table inside with a street view. After a server brought glasses of water & fresh bread to our table we had a chat with the co-owners about what was on the menu this evening. I ordered the Beef Short Rib Pasta and the rest of the guys mostly ordered various pasta dishes on the printed menu which changes weekly. I asked for an IPA beer and was pleasantly surprised they had an Italian IPA on their craft beer list.
It’s a very intimate restaurant and Valerio & Giulia love to mingle among their dinner guests. My Beef Short Rib Pasta tasted absolutely perfect and my Italian IPA was very satisfying. The guys all enjoyed their generous pasta dishes but had no room left for the tempting desserts. The place got quite packed out while we were here which given our great tasting meals and top service was quite understandable. This is a very classy Italian restaurant with that special personal touch !
