This very popular French cafe is situated next to a few other eateries in the midst of a very busy commercial district in Sorrento Valley. A large carpark is adjacent to this busy dining strip. My wife has enjoyed lunch and breakfast here countless times with work colleagues in the twelve years since we relocated to California from Australia. There are numerous cafes, food courts & some brew pubs to feed the thousands of workers looking for a nice lunch and a break from their workplace.
This cafe offers an indoor dining area, a large outdoor patio, fast walk up service plus good quality food & drinks. And there is the social aspect too as many people choose here for a lunch or breakfast get together. Of course my wife loves that they sell a large range of delicious Opera Cakes…perfect for that midday dessert craving ! I have been here a few times for lunch or breakfast with my wife who works nearby. It is obviously popular because it is always packed.
My wife and I headed here for a lunch date recently and there was a long line out the door. It wasn’t that long before we placed our order for a Chicken Chipotle Panini, a Cappuccino, an Iced Latte + an Opera Cake. We got lucky and found a shaded table for 2 on the outdoor side patio. My wife and I enjoyed our shared Chicken Chipotle Panini and our coffees tasted great. And the Opera Cake was perfect ! If you work in the neighborhood this is definitely a top location for a quality lunch or breakfast !
