My wife and I had dinner here last Tuesday after a trip to the movies. There were quite a few diners here when we walked in around 7pm. We ran into Eric the GM and Head Chef who made a few suggestions as to what dishes we might enjoy…..very helpful as this was a totally new type of cuisine for both of us. Rene at the service desk took our order for 3 appetizers..Pork & Kimchi Potstickers, Chicken Spring Rolls + Beef Trip Tip Skewers. And for our entree we chose a serve of Orange-Ish Chicken. They have a decent beer selection and I settled for a can of Modern Times Orderville Hazy IPA. We found a table and waited for our meals to come. The interior has nice clean lines and there is a good size outdoor patio too.

And literally before we could blink our orders started arriving one after the other at our table. I haven’t eaten Chinese food since we took a trip to San Francisco a few years ago and dined at a Chinatown restaurant. As for Korean food we ate at a Korean restaurant in Adelaide, Australia over 12 years ago. Those places were both pretty good but CHIKO simply knocked it clean out of the ball park with their unique & fresh take on Chinese / Korean fusion dishes which were prepared fresh right in front of us. Everything tasted unforgettable and very filling. We loved it and can’t wait to come back. And it is a short walk across Hwy 101 to beautiful Moonlight Beach !
