Caffe Calabria

We have been enjoying great coffees and food at this amazing Italian cafe for many years. My wife and I stopped by here around 1.30pm on Saturday for lunch. It’s a beautiful place with tons of character. A polite young lady named Lisette took our order for 2 tall lattes with 2% fat milk + hazelnut syrup, a Salsiccia Con Patate Pizza and a 12 oz bag of Caffe Calabria Love Potion # 9 roasted coffee beans. I picked up our lattes at the counter and thanked Sabrina the barista for our fabulous tasting coffees.

Not too long after Leo the master pizza chef hand delivered our spectacular looking Neapolitan thin crust pizza to our table. Where else do you get such wonderful friendly service ? Our pizza tasted so good that after devouring 2 huge slices each my wife and I sat there eyeballing the last piece……it was a pizza standoff ! We agreed to split the last slice…ha ha ! The coffees, pizzas and paninis never fail to please us here.

Quite often Arne the owner will drop by and have a chat with us about new ideas he is introducing to his cafe. Of course there is a full bar here and a great selection of local craft beers on tap not to mention their excellent panini sandwiches. And there is a fabulously appointed event room on the 2nd level available for private parties. If we didn’t live so far away at Solana beach we would be in here at least once a week. It’s the best Italian cafe in Southern California !
