MIAMI STYLE !

My wife and I had landed back in Australia 2 days ago for a two-week vacation in mid July. We were booked into the high-rise Solnamara Beachfront Apartments at Burleigh Heads for one week and the first thing we did was rent a couple of bicycles to see the sights. Thanks to a helpful tip from Paul the on site manager of our apartment complex we rented 2 cruisers from Mikes Bikes in Miami which we walked to from our apartment.

And the very first trip we made on our bikes was to explore the bike / pedestrian path running adjacent to the beach. We hadn’t ridden very far when much to our delight we stumbled upon this great little cafe with an ocean view. Of course we had to stop for cappuccinos. After ordering at the service counter we found a good spot to sit and suck up the beautiful ocean view. Our coffees tasted pretty good so we decided this place would be perfect for breakfast the next day.

Breakfast

The next morning we rode our rental cruisers here for breakfast at around 8.30am. It was quite busy when we placed our order at the service counter for a Traditional Brekky & fresh Orange Juice for me and Scrambled Eggs & Toast for my wife plus a 2 cappuccinos. Our meals were brought out to our table in a reasonable time. I enjoyed my hard Poached Eggs & juicy Bacon with Grilled Tomato, a side of Baked Beans + fresh Ciabatta toast . . a good old Aussie Style Brekkie !

And my tall glass of fresh squeezed Orange Juice tasted superb ! My wife loved her Scrambled Eggs, Basil Pesto & Feta + Ciabatta toast. Our cappuccinos tasted rich & creamy ! Most diners don’t tip in Australia generally but we found the total price of breakfast here to be about the same as back home in Southern California after factoring in a 20% tip. Lunch looked like it was a variety of healthy fresh made sandwiches. As far as breakfast / brunch goes this place is a must !
