My wife scoped out this Asian sandwich shop online before we headed to L.A early on Wednesday. This was our lunch break before we made our next stop at the Australian Consulate-General a few miles away. There was no parking available on the tiny lot when we drove past so we did another lap around the block and found a shaded metered street spot a few hundred feet from the shop. It’s a pretty low key looking joint but the ratings were good so we were hopeful.
We walked in just after midday and ordered 1 x hot Latte, 1 x Thai Iced Tea, 1 x Chicken Ranch Sandwich ( Grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, pesto, ranch, provolone on a toasted rustic ciabatta ) and 1 x K-BBQ Banh Mi Sandwich ( Korean marinated beef + kimchi, cucumber, jalapeño, mayo, house made pickled daikon, carrots, cilantro on a baguette ) from the helpful female at the cashier counter. They were doing very brisk business with pick up lunch orders as there was a steady stream of customers coming and going. There is plenty of seating at tables and countertops inside plus a few tables on the narrow outdoor patio. We sat at a small table against a wall inside.
Eventually our lunch order arrived at our table and everything looked pretty good. My creamy Latte tasted pretty decent and my wife liked her Thai Iced Tea. My K-BBQ Banh Mi on a long pillowy light toasted Baguette tasted very good . . plenty of juicy meat with a spicy bite. My wife totally enjoyed her huge Chicken Ranch Sandwich on a nice toasted rustic Ciabatta . . thick juicy Chicken breasts, crispy bacon and plenty of flavor. WE THOUGHT OUR LUNCH WAS GREAT !
